What are cryptocurrencies anyway?
Cryptocurrency is a type of digital currency which uses encryption methodologies to adjust the formation of units of currency and verifying fund transfers that are operated independently without any authority involved as medium.
These cryptocurrencies are decentralized and completely away from any authority that is governing the real money. Though digital currencies have multiple usage, now-a-day these currencies are often utilized in crowdsale i.e. funds raised by startups for a cause in the form of Initial Coin Offering.
If you take away all the noise around cryptocurrencies and reduce it to a simple definition, you find it to be just limited entries in a database no one can change without fulfilling specific conditions. This may seem ordinary, but, believe it or not: this is exactly how you can define a currency.

I have received a transaction from Changelly, but I don't notice any confirmation and the transaction itself is at "pending"!
Is this a valid transaction?
First, I've noticed that when mining, when an AI controlled ship goes to the warp beacon to drop off it's cargo, the beacon doesn't pull the minerals in unless the beacon is on screen. Otherwise, the Rez just breaks down into nothing.Second, and this may be something I haven't figured out, is that certain missions will require you to attack a faction that you are friendly with, but I can't force order my AI ships to attack a friendly ship, I have to keep hitting the friendly ship myself until my reputation drops to a level the AI will target. Also, Can you include reputation bonuses for certain missions? Such as the UTA/CIV skirmishes in which you pick a side, or the automated drilling platforms being +CIV? It's almost impossible to gain reputation with one faction over another with the limited number of missions available and the frequency of their appearance. Finally, I have a request that a menu or database be made so players can examine what technology they have unlocked, what still requires parts, and what unlocked star systems they are for sale in.
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

I'm and expat Australian living in China since 1997. For the past few months I have been toying with the idea of establishing just such an aggregator for my eCommerce business. If you have had any further thoughts I'd be pleased to hear of them.
With the EXP.DAO, we, as a community, get to create something unique. I’ve read James, Frank's, and GDizzle(hope that’s right) proposals and would like to add my ideas to the already great proposals on the forum.
Expanding on Frank’s basic income, I would suggest using the EXP.DAO as a holding company, if you will, that creates decentralized companies that will pay for the basic income without taxing individuals.
I think James is hitting the nail on the head when he speaks of Group based voting. The only issue I see with this, it creates a democracy with representatives. This is great and all, but we have all seen how this plays out in the real world. Everyone votes, but the representative does not like the vote and goes a different direction. The only sure way to bypass this catastrophe is to allow the individual groups to vote individually, within the group. When the group comes to a consensus, they forward that to the representative and he/she/it would be forced to vote with what the group agreed upon using transparency. If the representative does not vote as the group intended, the DAO will see that and kick his/her/its vote back to the group. The group would decide to keep the representative or release him/her/it. This also fits into GDizzles “Proposal for strategically based worldwide Expanse Representatives”. These representatives will act as ambassadors to EXP.
My favorite DivX playback units are finally biting the dust. I've had this WDTV Play unit sitting on the shelf for at least 3 or 4 years. I set it up three days ago, and began putting it through the discovery phase. Not bad, certain familiarizing sessions, one big uh-oh problem. It won't play .srt subtitles. If the Movie has hardcoded subs, no problem. If it's an .avi with the .srt in the same folder, nothing. If I ran the same through ConvertXtoDVD with the subs installed, nothing. That's the basic info on what I'm working with. I have spent the weekend going through WD support, and googling every possible solution. I've tried converting .srt from ANSI and saving as UTF-8. Still no love. WD says it doesn't support ANSI, so I'm definitely in need of help. I've great hopes someone in the Hive has gone through this, and can shed some light on the problem. Could it be firmware update? I haven't seen anything on WD that address an update as a solution. BTW, I'm impressed with it's abilit to playback everything I've put in. MP4, MKV, ISO, etc. Will save a lot of time converting to Xvid. Now if I can just get the damn thing to handle subs! I only have a handful of these problem files in the library, and they will all play through fine on the DivX units. But as I said, those are dying. They play just fine through the Computer. Thanks for any help.
